Shocking report on farmed fur animals in Finland

How far can we believe fur producers who claim that they look after the welfare of farmed animals? Not at all, it appears, in the case of Finnish fur farms.

PETA (People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals) has released a report and video documenting the inhumane treatment of foxes and minks.  According to the investigators, “Foxes and minks are trapped in cages so small that animals often go insane, resort to cannibalism and chew off their own tails in an effort to escape the pain.”
How can you help?

  • PETA invites concerned readers to write to the Finnish Minister of Agriculture and Forestry. You’ll find a sample letter on their website.
  • Spread the word that no thinking and compassionate person would wear fur or fur- trimmed clothing. The video convincingly shows why!
