O GRUPO DA OTS DE PORTUGAL
VISITA A ASSOCIAÇÃO “FOCINHOS E BIGODES”
(VOLUNTÁRIOS QUE TRATAM DOS CÃES ABANDONADOS)

O grupo da OTS de Lisboa, composto por membros dos diversos ramos da STP, visitou a “Focinhos e Bigodes”, associação que efectua trabalho voluntário com cães abandonados. A OTS de Portugal tem vindo a ajudar esta associação através de donativos destinados a custear o apoio de veterinários, alimentos e outras necessidades dos animais, mas toda a ajuda é necessária e bem-vinda!

Os voluntários da associação adoraram a nossa visita e foi com grande satisfação que nos mostraram os seus bonitos cães. Todos os fins-de-semana promovem “sessões de adopção” que visam encontrar novos donos de confiança e ensinar-lhes a tratar e a dar carinho a estes animais tão carentes de amor.

Reparem bem nestes olhos! Como são meigos! Todos os animais na «Focinhos e bigodes» são assim.

Os voluntários fazem o seu trabalho com muito amor e dedicação. Aqui estão alguns deles com Sebastião, o grande cão pachorrento.

No final da nossa visita, concluímos com grande alegria que estes voluntários merecem toda a ajuda que possamos dar-lhes, afim de prepararem estes belos cães para as suas novas casas ou para lhes dar todo o amor de que eles necessitam para continuarem alegres e saudáveis.

THE TOS IN PORTUGAL
PAYS A VISIT TO ‘FOCINHOS E BIGODES’,
A REFUGE FOR ABANDONED DOGS

The TOS Group in Lisbon, composed of members of different branches of the Theosophical Society, recently visited the association ‘Focinhos e Bigodes’ (‘Muzzles and Whiskers’) which cares for abandoned dogs.  The TOS has been helping the association with donations to pay for veterinary treatments, food, and other items.  Much more help is needed and welcome!

The volunteers of the association were really happy to welcome us and to show us their beautiful dogs.  Every weekend, they run adoption sessions – looking for reliable new owners and teaching them how best to care for these animals who have so much love to give.

Look at those beautiful eyes! So tender! All the animals at ‘Muzzles and Whiskers’ are this friendly!

By the end of the visit it was clear that these volunteers deserve all the help they can get to take care of their beautiful charges, prepare them for new homes and to give them all the love they so need to be happy and healthy…

This is Fernanda – it was through her we found out about ‘Muzzles and Whiskers’ in the first place. Her smile tells it all!
